February 9, 2008—NADA’s 2008 convention opened this morning with the traditional seat-belt-unbuckling ceremony—officiated by NADA chairman Dale Willey—admitting dealers to the exhibit floor. This year’s show, the 91st, is expected to host more than 24,000 attendees, who will find more than 700 exhibits with the latest industry products and services. Willey urged dealers to take advantage of all the workshops, OEM franchise meetings, and general sessions. Willey also welcomed special guest Krizia Sapida, the reigning Miss San Francisco, in the opening of the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the expo and convention. Accompanied by the Magnolia Jazz Band, Willey led NADA dignitaries and guests in a hand-clapping march through the exhibition hall.
